This recipe for barbecued asparagus comes from friend and fellow foodie Dreamer in Ontario at Recipezazz.

It is uber easy- and you can spice it up any way you want. I added garlic powder and crushed chillies to mine to give it a little zip. Easy on the grill, easy off- just a few minutes and you have an instant side.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus (ends trimmed)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Toss asparagus with oil and season to taste.
  • Grill over hot coals  on an oiled grate until crisp-tender, 5-8 minutes, depending on spear thickness.
