This post is sponsored on behalf of #appleweek. Our generous sponsors Envy Apples, Bob’s Red Mill, Republic of Tea, Flahavan’s Irish Oats, Nairn’s, Taylor & Colledge, Zyliss, Chocoley, and Torani  have provided us with products for recipe creation and a giveaway for our readers. As always, all opinions are my own.

My recipe of the day with #AppleWeek is for incredibly delicious  caramel apple s’mores, which you can  put together in just a few short minutes.

Caramel Apple S'Mores

These s’mores are a departure from the usual chocolate filled marshmallow graham. For  apple week, I am going full tilt autumn with a caramel  apple version.

I warn you- your fingers are going to get sticky- and  then, as if you were eating KFC you will find it is finger lickin’ good.

For my  recipe today I have utilized product graciously provided by Envy Apples, Nairn’s oat grahams, and Chocoley Caramel Cream Center (pliable caramel) along  with some supermarket marshmallows.

Caramel Apple S'Mores Ingredients

So as you can see there is not a whole lot  in these, but quantities of things can be deceiving, as these are just stuffed with Five Dollar Milkshake flavor (to quote John Travolta from Pulp Fiction).

And while not being  paid to say  it,  I can certainly vouch  for using  any of these ingredients  in other things (and you will probably have lots of opportunity to do so if you browse the #AppleWeek recipes each day).

Envy  Apples

Besides the outright awesomeness of these caramel  apple s’mores, you will find the Envy apples work great in anything.

Nairn’s Grahams

The Nairn’s  oat grahams  have such a great flavor- I am dreaming of using those babies in a crust on my key  lime pie. Or perhaps some fantastical cheesecake for the holidays.

Assembling Caramel Apple S'Mores

But off  to  assembling these s’mores.

And here’s a confession-   I am sixty years  old and never ever have I eaten a s’mores in my life.

WHHHHAAAAATTTT?

I’ll be honest- I love campfire marshmallows SO much, they never made it that far.  I was too busy pulling their charcoal souls off  the end of a stick  and loading another for the flames.

And we can be connoisseurs on the amount of golden toastiness each of us will  allow their marshmallows. What color do you like yours?

marshmallows under the broiler

Here you can see them under my beloved Breville toaster  oven’s broiler.

And here they are  with all their toastiness on display. I’d probably have done mine a little darker except  those hues don’t really do great in photos.

But they were melty-squishy, and that was the point. Ready to  move on to the daily offering of recipes? We can get back to the s’mores in a minute after you browse.

    • I didn’t see the Nairn’s at my usual market but I looked it up and saw Walmart has them. I don’t usually go into Walmart that much but will make a trip for these!
