Spicy Huevos Grilled Cheese is my recipe of the day with  the blogging group  From Our  Dinner Table. We get together weekly  to post  on various food topics. This week  we  are  discussing Brunch recipes.

I wanted to explore alternatives to the obvious breakfast burritos. Since I  love the flavors but get tired of the same old thing.

I thought to convert the tortilla to bread and make a grilled cheese,  since I already  love toasted bread at breakfast. Plus I always adore a grilled  cheese.

Although I was certain I would love this,  it turned out even better than I expected.

I  loved all  the gooey cheese and  the brush of  sauce was just right (I used a taqueria habanero sauce, but choose the spice level right for you).

Accompanied by some  fresh fruit, such as pineapple, this turned out to be a very tasty breakfast. Best part being that it wasn’t the same old same  old.

  1. These sammies made for a tasty dinner item! The eggs came out silky smooth and flavorful. In addition to green chilies, I also added chopped tomatillos I had on hand which provided some extra yummy. Love the concept of this sandwich. Thank you, Sue for sharing.
