Smoky Jalapeno Cheese Spread is my recipe of the day. I concocted this copycat recipe after trying a tub of what Alouette sold. And it comes pretty close. I have used soft goat cheese in mine (chevre). We love it.

This time of year we are always going through various cheese spreads and dips. Anything to smear on a cracker or dip a chip into really. This also makes an excellent hostess gift or item to brig to a potluck party.
I served this batch with Ritz crackers. You might also like tortilla chips or other specialty crackers.
