Rag Top Apple Cobbler

  • 2-1/2 pounds Envy Apples about 6 medium
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 single premade pie crust cut into irregular strips
  • 2 tablespoons Bob's Red Mill sparkling sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soft butter
  • 1 bottle Torani Puremade Caramel syrup


  • Butter an oval baking dish and preheat oven to 350F.
  • Peel, core and slice apples and toss them with a mixture of brown sugar, flour, and apple pie spice.
  • Pour into the buttered dish.
  • Top with strips of pie crust in a random criss-cross pattern.
  • Sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
  • Bake at 350F for 50-60 minutes or until nicely browned.
  • Serve warm with ice cream, and drizzled with caramel syrup.
