fresh strawberries
hulled and chopped
1
cup
water

cups
granulated sugar
Instructions
Place chopped strawberries and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Keep at a rolling boil for ten minutes, then remove from heat.
Strain mixture and discard solids.
Top up strawberry juice to one cup if needed.
Stir in 2 cups granulated sugar and bring too a boil, stirring constantly to dissolve sugar completely.
Cool syrup and pour into jars; refrigerate until needed.
