Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate

  • Slow Cooker or Crockpot


  • 4.6 ounces 65% cacao dark chocolate, broken or chopped (2 bars)
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 8 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
  • whipped cream or marshmallows optional topping


  • Place condensed milk in the bottom of a 2 quart or larger slow cooker or crockpot.
  • Top with broken chocolate pieces, then add milk and cream.
  • Do not stir.
  • Place lid on the crock and cook on low for 2 hours or until steaming hot.
  • Whisk the hot chocolate to mix and add vanilla paste.
  • Serve topped with marshmallows or whipped cream if you like.
