Stir together sauce and simmer until thick.
Season chicken with salt and black pepper and brown in oil.
Place chicken on baking sheet.
Bake chicken legs at 425F for 25 minutes then turn and bake 10-15 minutes more.
Check the meat temp and if it is close to 165 then sauce the chicken and let that bake a couple of minutes to set.
If temp is not quite there, bake a few minutes longer. Your bake time will depend on the size of the chicken pieces.
Refrigerate unused sauce portions, if any.
