Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh jalapenos (cored and seeded)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Cut the tops off the jalapenos and remove seed cores (I use a vegetable peeler to poke in and twist, then rinse them out).
  • Slice peppers into rings.
  • Bring all the ingredients except the peppers to a boil; cook two minutes.
  • Add the peppers and reduce heat; simmer gently for 6-8 minutes more.
  • Cool and place in a canning jar and refrigerate.
  • Ready to use pretty much right away.
