cooking oil for skillet as required
Ingredients

ears charred roasted corn
cut from ears (about 2 cups)

large egg

whole buttermilk

salt

tablespoon
granulated sugar

teaspoon
ground cumin
1/4
teaspoon
cayenne pepper

teaspoon
baking powder
1
cup
all-purpose flour

tablespoon
vegetable oil

cup
ranch dressing
optional dip
Instructions
Stir together batter until smooth.
Heat oil several inches deep in a large skillet.
Drop batter by one tablespoon increments (I use a cookie scoop for ease) into oil and cook until golden on all sides.
Drain on paper toweling.
Serve hot with ranch dressing as a dip.
