Louisiana pepper sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375F.
Lightly grease a 2-1/2 quart oven-safe casserole dish or spray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
Place onion and garlic in a skillet with the chopped bacon. Cook until fat renders from bacon and onions become soft.
Add the tomato sauce and soda to the pan, and cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce reduces and is syrupy.
Stir in the canned pork and beans, salt, black pepper, mustard, molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.
Pour bean mixture into the greased casserole and bake uncovered for approximately thirty minutes.
