Farofa (toasted manioc flour):

Serving accompaniments:
hard cooked eggs

(peeled and sliced)

cooked collard greens
(or any other greens type)

Instructions
Brown meats with onion and garlic in olive oil.
Place ingredients in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for ten hours.
To prepare farofa, saute the onion and garlic in the butter, then add remaining ingredients and stir for a few minutes until hot.
Serve bean stew with farofa, sliced hard cooked egg, rice, collard greens, orange slices, and green olives.
