to season meat

large onion
cut into wedges

chopped garlic

all-purpose flour

hefeweizen beer or lager beer

cup
beef broth

tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce

tablespoon
tomato paste

teaspoon
each salt and black pepper

tablespoon
prepared German mustard
Other:
cooked noodles or spaetzle
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F.
Season beef lightly with salt and pepper.
Brown the meat and onions with garlic in the oil in a Dutch oven.
remove beef to one side and add remaining ingredients to the pan (except noodles or spaetzle) and whisk lightly.
Add beef back to pan and cover.
Place in oven and bake for about 2 to 2-1/2 or until meat is tender.
Serve meat and onions over noodles or with spaetzle.
