Equipment

  • 2 1-quart canning jars with plastic lids

Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 4-inch cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup cranberry juice blend
  • 1 cup Cointreau liqueur
  • 3 cups vodka

Instructions
 

  • Chop cranberries in food processor (pulse) or by hand.
  • Divide into two 1-quart canning jars.
  • Stir sugar into cranberry juice in a small saucepan and add cinnamon sticks.
  • Bring to boil, then remove from heat and pour over chopped cranberries in jars, adding two cinnamon sticks to each jar. Allow to cool completely.
  • Add half cup Cointreau and 1-1/2 cups vodka to each jar and stir.
  • Top with a plastic cap and place in a dark cupboard for one month, stirring every few days.
  • Strain out the solids before using.
