Fresh Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients
  

  • 1 quart fresh ripe strawberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar or equivalent substitute
  • additional cold water

Instructions
 

  • Hull strawberries and quarter; place in a saucepan with the 1 cup water and simmer until soft; allow to cool.
  • Place strawberries in a food processor or blender and puree.
  • Place puree, lemon juice and sugar in a 2 quart pitcher and stir to dissolve sugar.
  • up with cold water to equal 2 quarts.
