Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound pork sausage (hot if you like spicy)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pound Velveeta processed American cheese
  • 12 ounce package Pepperidge Farm dark pumpernickel Party Bread
  • 12 slices individually wrapped Velveeta cheese

Instructions
 

  • Brown sausage with beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and oregano; drain any fat.
  • Dice block cheese and add to hot meat mixture, stirring until the cheese melts.
  • Spread bread slices on a baking tray and place a scoop of meat on each.
  • Unwrap cheese slices and cut each slice into six thin strips.
  • Place two strips in an X on the meat.
  • Place pan under the broiler until the cheese melts and serve hot.
