Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces all-purpose flour (about 1-1/2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole buttermilk

Instructions
 

  • Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Gradually mix the buttermilk into the flour.
  • Knead gently for a few minutes on a lightly floured surface, then pat into a disk 1/2" thick.
  • Cut dough into quarters with a floured bread knife.
  • Lightly oil a griddle or skillet as you would if you were making pancakes.
  • Add dough pieces to pan and cook about 5-7 minutes each side or until golden.
