Ingredients
  

  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 16 ounces smoked sausage (chopped)
  • 32 ounces fresh pack sauerkraut
  • 14.5 ounces canned pears in juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon each salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Brown onion and sausage in olive oil until the onion is soft.
  • Place mixture in the crockpot with the sauerkraut, pears, juice, and seasonings.
  • Stir and cover with the lid.
  • Cook on High for 4 hours.
