smoked bone-in pork shoulder picnic
(cottage ham)

cup
chopped onion

cup
diced celery
1
green bell pepper
(chopped)

tablespoon
olive oil
1
teaspoon
each salt and black pepper
1
tablespoon
chopped garlic
2
tablespoons
molasses
1
teaspoon
yellow mustard
1
tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce

canned baked beans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F.
Saute the onion, celery and bell pepper in the oil in a small skillet until softened.
Stir those in a mixing bowl with all other ingredients except cottage ham.
Place bean mix in a dutch oven and put the cottage ham on top, fatty side up if possible.
Cover and bake for 2.5 hours or so or until thick.
Slice ham pieces off the bone and serve on beans or stir in, whichever you prefer; discarding the bone.
