Halloumi cheese
cut into sticks

large egg
lightly beaten
1
tablespoon
water
1
cup
flour
1/4
teaspoon
salt
1/4
teaspoon
black pepper

tablespoons
grated Parmesan cheese
2
tablespoons
finely chopped Italian parsley
cooking oil
Instructions
Chill cheese sticks.
Whisk egg with water in a small bowl.
Place flour in another bowl.
Heat oil two inches deep in skillet until moderately hot.
Dip cheese pieces in egg then dredge in flour.
Fry in oil until crisp and browned.
Drain on paper toweling then sprinkle with salt, pepper, Parmesan and parsley.
Serve hot.
