Cornmeal Crumb Topping:

yellow cornmeal

all-purpose flour

baking powder

soft butter

buttermilk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F.
Butter an oblong baking dish (13x9 or a lasagna pan).
Toss blackberries with sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Place in the baking pan.
Mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt with soft butter, then mix in buttermilk.
Drop by spoonfuls over berries as evenly as you can.
Bake for 30 minutes or until nicely browned.
Serve with ice cream or cool whip.
