Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces fresh wheat lo mein noodles
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped scallions
  • 12 ounces napa cabbage sliced
  • 2 tablespoons stir-fry oil or peanut oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chicken base or bouillon

Instructions
 

  • Cook noodles according to package directions and drain.
  • Chop vegetables and set aside.
  • Stir together the soy sauce, oyster sauce and bouillon in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Heat oil, butter and sesame oil in a large skillet/
  • Cook vegetables until crisp-tender with the garlic and black pepper.
  • Add the noodles and the sauce to the pan and toss until noodles are thoroughly coated and hot.
  • Serve as a side dish with main dish stir-fries instead of rice.
