chicken broth

shredded cheddar cheese

roasted garlic cloves
Instructions
Saute the onion and celery with the minced garlic in butter until the onion and celery soften.
Stir in the flour to coat the vegetables along with the salt, pepper and thyme.
Add the chicken broth, milk and roasted garlic clove and bring to a boil, stirring.
Boil one minute to thicken, and remove from heat.
Stir in the cheese and continue stirring until it melts.
