salt

black pepper

garlic powder

olive oil

large onion
sliced

ounces
apple juice
Schmear:
1/3
cup
whole grain Dijon mustard
1
teaspoon
caraway seed
2
teaspoons
dried minced onion
1/2
teaspoon
dried marjoram
1/2
teaspoon
Hungarian paprika
1/2
teaspoon
garlic powder
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/2
teaspoon
black pepper
Instructions
Sprinkle roast with salt, pepper and garlic , then brown on all sides in oil.
Place meat in the slow cooker fat side up.
Add the onions to the oil in the pan and brown those as well.
Mix together the schmear and spread on top of meat.
Cover with onions.
Pour apple juice around the meat.
Cover and cook on low for nine hours.
