Mulled White Wine is my recipe of the day with the From Our Dinner Table blogging group. We have been posting once per week on various seasonal topics.
Today we are posting favorite punch recipes. And while punch can mean a variety of things to different people, it usually accounts for a larger batch of fruit juice based party drink, often spiked with low alcohol.
Autumn is for Warm Spicy Drinks
It is the start of mulling season for me, which means I like warming up various kinds of fruits juices sometimes with booze, other times not.
The mulled white wine is a low alcohol based punch with moscato and pear nectar, but still an adult drink. Please drink responsibly and legally.
Heating at the Right Temp
I’ve warmed this one up in the crockpot because you don’t really want the temperature on it going to high or the alcohol evaporates. The crock is perfect for getting the drink warmed up just right and keeping it there.
Adjustable Recipe Size
While one bottle of wine will make 4-5 cups mulled spiced wine, you can easily increase this to your needs using the appropriately size slow cooker.
