Nashville  Hot  Popcorn

By Sue Lau | Palatable Pastime

My recipe of the day is for Nashville Hot popcorn,  those crunchy bits which are seasoned up to taste like one of the newest chicken favs.

I never got around to  posting a recipe for Nashville Hot chicken but while it is September, I definitely want to squeeze in this recipe  for popcorn before my calendar overflows and it gets shoved off again.

TV Weather is on its Way!

Now that September has arrived, the nights are getting cooler and people are coming inside. When I was a kid, that meant the Fall Preview TV Guide had  come out, and everyone was chomping at the bit to see all the new tv shows. But TV Guide has gone by the wayside and mostly  instead of network  tv, I think  a lot of us are exchanging ideas for what to watch on Netflix or Hulu with our friends on Facebook.

But still- one of my favorite things is all the horror movies that start playing ahead of October- including some of the old tv shows like Twilight Zone, the Outer Limits and Night Gallery, later on replaced by things like the X-Files and Game of Thrones.

And  all the tube watching needs something to  munch on. While I love a good bowl of buttered popcorn,  I have come to want to be more adventurous and creative.
