Watermelon Slushie: Two Ingredients

This is the easiest slushie recipe yet as it only has two ingredients: soda and frozen watermelon.

Since they came out with Major Melon Mountain Dew, it makes the perfect add-in for a frozen drink. No longer is your slush anemic on watermelon flavor.

Sugar-Free Frozen Slushy

Plus, this can be regular or sugar free depending on which pop you pick up. No worrying about adding in the sweetener or sugar-sub as it is already done for you.

Weight-Watchers Friendly

And as far as I know about WW, fruit had been free pretty much. Except that they asked you not to drink your fruit. But I think that really involved things like orange juice. Watermelon has always been an excellent choice when counting calories.

And the diet drink is fine on a diet as long as you don’t overdo it. The diet soft drinks do tend to be somewhat high in sodium.

Frozen Slush Options for Everyone

Frozen Watermelon Slush is probably the perfect frozen refreshment for any summer holiday. Keep plenty of melon frozen. Have both kinds of Dew on hand. I won’t blink if the adults like a splash of vodka. But the kids reading this know to behave.

Plus once the melon is frozen, it is a perfect freezer stash of a dessert you can have ready to go in just minutes. Perfect for when friends drop by unexpectedly. I know I’d love it if I popped over to visit a friend and they had one of these waiting!

Of course, they’d probably never get rid of me. Ha!

    • There are a number of watermelon sodas available now, such as Crush, Jones, and Jarritos. You would have to try one and see if you liked it instead.
