The year-end recipe countdown continues! And for today the sharing is for the most popular crock pot, slow cooker, instant pot and pressure cooker recipes of 2018.

Pressure Cooker Tavern Sandwiches (Iowa Loosemeat)

This one is also one of the favorite reader main dish recipes. Obviously. It is the best of both worlds between a good burger and a sloppy joe, all easily made in the instant pot.

Bavarian Sauerkraut

Bavarian sauerkraut is one of the top  crockpot recipes, and if you haven’t tried making kraut that way, it makes it really tender. Plus the seasoning on this one includes the wine, which is  a  slightly different prep but  makes it very good as a side dish.

Pressure Cooker Amish Cabbage Patch Stew

This is essentially my crock pot cabbage rolls done up as a stew  in the instant pot. Except it uses stew beef instead of ground. It’s really easy to cook this way without the trouble of rolling them up. Great for a cold weeknight when you crave cabbage rolls but just don’t have the time.

Slow Cooker Pork with Apples

This crockpot recipe cooks up your favorite pork chops with apples in just a few hours. There is a link to the noodles recipe too  so you can make a meal of it. Noodles with chops are one of my favorites.

Pressure Cooker Master Curry Sauce

This uses the instant pot to make up a master curry sauce which you can then add later to cooked vegetables and meats to make a number of different curries.

Slow Cooker Smothered Quail

This is a crockpot method for making smothered quail. There aren’t a lot of recipes for quail going around so you may want to pin this for if you find them in the freezer section. That way you will have at least one recipe to  use them in. They do occasionally show up at the market- oh and this doesn’t easily translate to chicken since the quail has a different cook  time so beware. Also, don’t try using chicken recipes with  quail.
