Dulce de Leche Hot Chocolate is my recipe of the day with the blogging group From Our Dinner Table. We group weekly to post new recipes on a variety of common topics. This week we’re featuring coca recipes. Glad you could join us!

For my offering I have dulce de leche hot chocolate. This is made with dark chocolate, canned dulce de leche as well as milk and heavy cream.
The result is a smooth decadent and creamy mixture of caramel and hot chocolate. Whisked over low heat, this comes together without too much trouble. And you can opt to top it with either whipped cream or marshmallows. Whichever you prefer.
It’s the perfect warm-up for a cold and chilly night. Or perhaps even a welcoming cup for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Dulce de Leche Hot Chocolate
Equipment
- saucepan; whisk
Ingredients
- 250 grams container dulce de leche caramel
- 1.6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate 9 squares
- 2.5 ounces dark chocolate squares
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces heavy cream
- 3-1/2 cups whole milk
Instructions
- Combine ingredients together in saucepan over low heat and whisk gently until cholate and caramel is melted and well mixed and hot.
