Palatable Pastime’s Best Appetizer Recipes of 2018
By Sue Lau | Palatable Pastime
Another blogging year is coming to a close. And what a busy year it has been for me! It has been especially busy in the kitchen the past couple of months- and now that Christmas is over, you might think I would get to take a long winter’s nap like Santa, but probably not.
I have lots of exciting recipes planned for the coming year, so it looks to be as busy as ever.
Today’s top recipes are for appetizers, spreads and other nibbles, one of my favorite things to eat. Throw a few of these together among friends and you have both dinner and a party!
Thai chicken wings are one of my favorites and with good reason. Lots of flavor and bite and are very easy to make.
Thai Chicken Wings
Cranberry Jalapeno Cheese Spread
This cranberry spread is very similar to one we sampled while shopping and instead of buying the tub I went home and put my own version together.
You’ll love it. It outshines the samples I had.
Cranberry Jalapeno Turkey Roll-Ups
This appetizer is very healthy, and can also double for an easy lunch.
I like serving it with an array of sliced cheese and perhaps salami on a tray.
Crack Chicken Dip
Crack chicken dip is quite like Buffalo Chicken Dip but with a different flavor profile.
I like this one a lot more than the original. And it’s perfect for game day as a warm dip for corn chips.
Chili Cheese Dog Egg Rolls
This appie is sure to please the kid in all of us.
Perfect for the kids and the guys hanging around to watch the game, and all very simple to make.
Honey Sriracha Peanuts
This is perfect with a round of beers, or packed into a tin as a holiday food gift. They are very addictive!
Enjoy the collection and be sure to stop in tomorrow for a collection of the most popular breakfast dishes of the year.
It’s always wonderful to start your day off right!

That Crack Chicken Dip needs to be a part of my life!!!
All of these apps sound SO delicious. I can’t choose one that sounds better than the others – I gotta try them all!
I am having an appie party this weekend as a NYE nibble party for those out of towners. great way to enjoy a bunch at once!
