Creamy Onion Green Bean Casserole was supposed to be my recipe of the day for the blogging event Holiday Side Dish Week. (On Friday) However, I ran out of time to post that on schedule and had to delay it until today.
Still, it was planned as an easy casserole for the holiday table so I am still in the ballpark. With plenty of time.
This is perfect for those who don’t like mushrooms. Which is what I usually do. But I like the onion flavor too. Especially when combined with the crispy onion topping. It was quite satisfying.
Easy to make and bake. Just stir together and get it into the oven. You can make this while your turkey rests so your side dish is on time without the topping getting soggy.

You can see the cheese as it thickens up in the sauce. That is not curdled at all. It just doesn’t have that runny look that not using cheese gets.
