Cincinnati Chili Cheese Fritos
By Sue Lau | Palatable Pastime
Cincinnati Chili Cheese Fritos is my recipe of the day. I made this easy snack up just in time to watch my home team (The Cincinnati Bengals) take their luck out to the west coast to try to win the Super Bowl. They lost to the L.A. Rams, but the team still has our hearts and hopes for next year.

Cincinnati Chili Cheese Fritos
As you probably already are aware, Cincinnati is famous for our style of chili. Texans enjoy arguing if it is chili or not. But then again, Texans may just like to argue. It’s cowboy style.
But Cincinnati chili is Greek style, and has many flavorful and unusual (for chili) spices in it. I have taken a handful of those spices and stirred those into a Who Dey (the nickname for my football team) Butter so it will cling nicely to ready made chips.
After a nice dry in a low oven, they are ready for your game day snack table, or just anytime you want something a little different. We dig the Fritos around here. Don’t miss the BBQ Fritos recipe I posted a preview for below as well. They can take BBQ Fritos out of the stores. But they can’t keep them out of our hands!

- Fritos are even better after overnight, giving the chips a chance to absorb the butter nicely.
- These will keep the same amount of time as an opened bag of chips so place in an airtight bag.
