Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Celery is my recipe of the day with the blogging group Sunday Funday. We post weekly on varying topics. This week we’re featuring kitchen staple appetizers. Glad you could join us!
We all have some of those kitchen staple items in our pantries, right? Things like canned chicken and tuna, condiments, bouillon granules, herbs and spices, and so on.
Our event this week features recipes using some of these staple items, so ideally you won’t need to shop for all the ingredients to make these.
My recipe includes canned chicken, mayo, hot sauce, and bouillon granules combined to make a Buffalo chicken spread to serve on celery sticks. You can adjust the spice level to your preference by your choice of hot sauce, but it should be a type of Louisiana hot sauce to get the right flavor. After all, we’re looking for that classic Buffalo hot wing flavor.
This makes a delightful, low carb or keto appy for any occasion, with the crunch of the fresh celery and the creamy, slightly spicy chicken. I hope you enjoy!

A fun and easy snack to put out for unexpected guests. Thanks.
I must confess that I have never bought a can of chicken (Chicken of the Sea doesn’t count, I’m guessing. 🤣) but now I will! What a great idea for an easy store cupboard appetizer! I usually have everything else I’d need, even the celery.
You’d use the kind that looks like tuna. Not the atrocity of whole chicken in a can that Alton Brown has nightmares about. I usually keep something like that for power outage food. Like the scene in Crocodile Dundee, tinned food is better than bush grub, which one can get by on, but you know, tastes like crap. LOL
Plus the canned chix is easier to make the right consistency for a spread.
What a cool take on Buffalo chicken! I can’t wait to try this.
So smart!! These are the perfect app!
