After the web lines are piped on and set, those can be your cutting lines for your “pizza” slices, or you can cut it as you wish. With the brownie being a bit thinner than it would be when made in a brownie pan (it does need to be crust-like after all) the pieces can look bigger than they might otherwise.

You can use your own selection of toppings, depending on what you have or like. I have a list of equipment in affiliate links at the bottom of the page, including the mold I used for the central spider. You can peek at those- it doesn’t incur any extra cost should you buy and costs nothing to look so you can get more detailed information.

Equipment

  • Silicone Insect Mold by Create It (see  equipment link)
  • parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 1 12.35 ounce box Sugar-Free Brownie Mix (or equivalent) (add 1 egg, 1/3 cup oil, 3 tbsp. water)
  • Wilton Black Candy Melts
  • Wilton White Cookie Icing
  • Assorted Candy: M&M's, Candy Eyeballs, Halloween Sprinkles
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  • Melt black candy melts or other chocolate according to package directions and fill spider section of silicone mold. Place in freezer to set up.
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Line the pizza pan with parchment paper and oil lightly; trim excess.
  • Mix brownie mix according to package directions and spread on the pizza pan.
  • Bake brownies for ten minutes and remove from oven.
  • Sprinkle top with marshmallows, M&M's and sprinkles and press down with your hand- the dough will be a little dry on top so you need to press it in, but if you put it on before baking at all the candies will melt too much.
  • Return brownies to oven and bake ten minutes more.
  • Cool ten minutes, then slide pizza on parchment to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Heat the white cookie icing according to package directions and draw the spider web onto the pizza with it, using the web lines to define the pizza slices.
  • Carefully remove the black spider from the mold; put a little of the white icing on the underside and press it down where you like the spider to be on the pizza.
  • Let the icing dry for 45 minutes to set up.
  • Slice into pieces to serve.
