I love breadsticks. But I admit I am not very fond of the ones restaurant serve. They usually seem stale to me. I do like some of the packaged grissini when they are very thin. Thicker ones not so much.
This easy recipe makes the breadsticks in the thin grissini style. Perfect for dipping into olive oil with herbs, marinara sauce, salad dressing, or cheese dip.
Out of the oven and still warm, they will be chewy but crisp up as they cool. If they haven’t crisped up all the way after an hour or so, you can do those up in a low oven around 150F for about 30 minutes and they should be crisp as crackers. From there, store in a plastic bag if you don’t eat the right away.
Besides dippers, I really enjoy nibbling these as a table appetizer, or along with my bowl of salad.
Use the regular/small tubes of biscuits for these (not the Grands size). Just when you thought those old style biscuits had no further purpose in life. There you go.

I rarely buy packaged biscuits but may need to make an exception for these easy breadsticks whenever we have guests stopping by unexpectedly again. Such a quick and tasty snack!
I’ve been wanting to add more of these easy recipes that are semi-prepped and am glad I thought to test this one out. It works great!
Nothing wrong with the magic of Pillsbury! These sound great!
Store was out of Pillsbury. In fact, I was lucky to find this can. I never use canned biscuits and the onetime I want them, covid shortages attack! LOL!
I love the use of the biscuit dough here. Great tasting biscuits without the long wait.
Well how easy is this. What a great recipe to have on hand for those times that you don’t have the time or inclination to make dough
