I selected my recipe for the quiche due to the heavy cream involved. Whipping cream doesn’t automatically mean you’re limited to desserts, after all!

We’re big dairy fans here (the hubs being from Wisconsin, the Dairy State, originally), and heavy or whipping cream adds a wonderful richness to certain dishes. Quiche in particular.

January is always a good time for me to focus on breakfast recipes. With a new year, I like to get all of my days off to a good start.

Preparing protein heavy meals like this crustless quiche are a good way for me to hone in on better health, keeping my carb consumption to a minimum.

This quiche definitely does not taste like a diet, however. And due to the inclusion of cream, it is not necessarily low calorie. But you can choose to use evaporated milk. The flavor will be less rich but the fat count lower. I don’t recommend using low fat cheeses in this, however.
