Iย am fortunate to live in an area that has a lot of apple orchards. So I feel assured to be able to get the very best of freshly pressed cider. If you can get it, purchase that instead of what you can buy in the grocery store.
I am also fortunate to be ableย to purchase any number of Kentuckyย bourbons, consideringย I live just north ofย there in Ohio (ten miles north of south, right?). I alsoย used some bourbon barrel mapleย syrup, which is pricyย but delicious. You canย find it online. But regular pure syrup will do nicely.
Just try to avoid pancakeย syrup that is notย pure maple.

The hubz said he likes his with a touch lessย sweet and a little more bourbon forย the burn. I found this drink perfectly quaffable as it is. But don’t be shy adjusting the tastes your way.
