I am sharing a recipe from my home town. Or at least an approximation of it. Since I had never heard of it util I moved away. And now live in Cincinnati. And I wanted to eat one so bad!

But like many things, one must learn to do for one’s self. I did my best to figure it out. And had a long nice chat about it with my local deli guy. I needed to get a solid piece of salami (not thinly sliced). So we approximated how much to cut into one piece.

From there, it gets heated in a slow cooker according to directions given by Goldbelly if you buy one and have it shipped. Ahem, I am NOT paying that much! Oh Lordy, I will do it myself. So I hope you like it. I did!

It’s like a super meaty version of an Italian sub without the ham. Those are just the best! And this is too.
