My recipe for today is for a Cracker Barrel favorite which consists of doing fried chicken fingers with a copycat version of their Golden Carolina barbecue sauce. It makes a great appetizer, snack or casual meal.
It must be Cracker Barrel Day for me since I am also posting Cracker Barrel’s Broccoli Cheese Casserole (with rice) withinย the hour. I enjoy their food (when it is not cold from the restaurant). And what better way to ensure it’s fresh than by making it yourself?
Not to be too snarky towards them. I do enjoy getting breakfast there if we go out, on the weekends. They also do tend toย take things off menu from time to time. So it’s best to have a plan if you were hoping for something and need a backup plan if it’s gone.

These look so golden, crispy and delicious! I love Carolina gold sauce. It’s so good and different from the vinegar based sauce. I bet some don’t even know Carolina has more than 1 sauce!
