Barbecue Country Style Rib Sandwiches is my recipe of the day. BBQ is typical summertime food for me,  but I do eat it year-round. The pork  is just such a temptation and I love it. And this recipe  is dead easy.

Typically you’ll find me doing pork in my smoker or on my little Weber grill. But there are days when that just ain’t happening, iykwim. As a matter of fact, it has been warm enough to do a lot of grilling until just the other day. Now it is cold out and threatens snow. But for the most part we have been getting rain and wind, and I’ll avoid the outdoors then.

Cold usually isn’t a deterrent (I have grilled chicken when it was twenty below) (dang it was yummy too). But I detest a sideways blowing cold rain.

I use country style ribs in these, which is thicker than a pork steak but just cut slices off a pork shoulder blade roast. Those will come with or without bones. And it doesn’t make a whole lot of difference here, so don’t worry about  it. Choose the meat based on how it looks and not the bone.

I put this on hoagie  rolls in the end but you can  use hamburger buns. What I use depends on which store I shop and what they stock. You can make rolls from scratch too.

Use your favorite bbq sauce. In a blue moon I will use bottled. As I mostly make my sauces from scratch. But you won’t find me judging anyone for what they like to use. Including ketchups and  mayonnaise (I like Heinz no-sugar-added and Duke’s, respectively) 😉
