Magic Pan Orange and Almond Salad is my recipe of the day with the blogging group Alphabet Recipe Challenge. The group posts every other week going through the alphabet, A-Z, one letter at a time. Being the group’s first posting of the year, we begin our culinary journey with the letter “A”. Glad you could join us!
For my “A” recipe, I am sharing Almond recipes. The featured recipe is like one I had years ago at the Magic Pan restaurant while visiting Milwaukee. Later on I tried a recipe at Recipezaar. I’ve tweaked that somewhat although much is the same. I hope you enjoy it as much as I always have. Perhaps you’d like to try your hand at making crepes while you are at it?

Oh my gosh……I used to love the Magic Pan. My favorite was the Jacques Coquilles Crepes. I think I might make a copycat of that to serve with this wonderful salad. Thanks for the food memories.
Oh I love mandarins in my salad, and I heartily approve of a well peppered dressing. This looks wonderful!
Sue, I am down with a nasty viral infection and don’t feel like eating anything, which is quite unusual for me. As I was going through your post, got tempted to have the salad. I made it as I had all the ingredients at hand. Loved it. So citrusy, delicious and made me feel good. Thanks for the recipe.
I remember the Magic Pan! Do they even exist these days? Probably not so just as well I can use your recipe to recreate this beautiful salad!
So funny! I was just thinking about making a few salads using oranges because they are in season right now. After seeing this great recipe, it’s definitely gotta happen!!!
This is just the kind of recipe I need in January after overindulging in Christmas cookies and cocktails! So colorful and packed with texture and flavor!
I am loving the flavor packed refreshing salad. I can have this for any meal.
