Cherry Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake has five easy ingredients, plus a decadent chocolate glaze jewelled with glace cherries, and chocolate chips.
Cherry Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake
By Sue Lau | Palatable Pastime
Cherry Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake is my recipe of the day with the blogging group #BundtBakers.
It reminds me of a Black Forest Cake except it’s a little different. Both have the same mixture of chocolate and cherry. But all easily made with just a few simple ingredients.
Obviously this one seems much easier to me, depending on which Black Forest cake recipe you use.
Simple Ingredients for Simple Goodness
I was very happy with the 5-Ingredient Blueberry Bundt Cake I had made and this is just me dipping into that same thought tank again. Originally I thought I might spoon the cherry filling over some cheesecake but opted for this instead.
Besides, I can still do the cherry topper at a later date. I’ve been thinking of doing a cheesecake in the Instant Pot anyway.
Lots of Fun New Cooking Experiments
I have been getting crazy with the Instant Pot lately, especially since starting up #MulticookerMondays. The idea was to get me to stretch my legs with that a bit more, and I have. I just love it. If you want recipe ideas for that, along with a variety of other small appliance recipes, such as crockpot and sous vide, join us on the third Monday of each month.
Also, blogging groups do help fill out the corners of the blog. I joined Stacy’s Bundt Bakers group in November of 2015. I thought it would motivate me to get more cakes on the blog. And it has! With plenty more lined up on the highway of future baking.
My Cake Pan is an Old Friend
I don’t think I will be ditching my trusty Bundt pan anytime soon. Although I have since added to my collection extensively, my regular pan has been in use with me for over thirty years. You won’t see it much in photos, but it is in that funky 1980’s soldier blue.
Yeah, blue used to be a thing. With kitchen decor of French farmhouse geese with little blue bandanas. Have you ever seen this stuff? If you’re younger, maybe your mom, aunt or grandmother had it. It was very common.

Love all the bright red cherries popping out of the chocolate frosting all over your Bundt, Sue! Sure to get some in every slice.
Yes!! We had farmhouse geese in our house growing up! And this cake looks wonderful – cannot beat that chocolate cherry combo.
That combination with chocolate is delicious, I eat it now!
This cherry bundt looks so delightful Sue!
I’m dating myself but I remember those plates and even saw a few pieces in the thrift store lately. The chocolate/cherry combination is one of my favorites and I’m willing to work off the extra calories to have this. Stay safe and well!
