Iced Golden Ginger Drink is my recipe of the day. It’s my knockoff version of the Starbucks drink I have been enjoying for awhile now that includes golden turmeric and ginger.
I imagine it won’t be too long before it disappears, replaced by warm coffee drinks for autumn.
It really is easy satisfying for me and very easy to make. Takes care of that itch I have when I get tired of drinking iced tea or cold brew coffee.
Plus I imagine the turmeric and ginger are both quite healthy, although don’t use it to save your life, unless you are dying of the heat of a summer’s day. We still have a good month or so of hot weather left, and certainly this summer has been a very hot one.
It could be said that an adult version of this might include a nip of vodka, although you won’t be getting that at Starbucks. But for a relaxing afternoon on the patio or out by the pool it seems perfect. If you are 21. 😉
The coconut water I used in this is the Badia brand which has a can the right size. I imagine you can also find other brands.
This will also mix up well if you need to make a larger quantity and keep it in a pitcher. Just give it a good stir before pouring over ice. I know I like having a pitcher of anything refreshing made up and ready to go so I don’t have to stop and mix a recipe if I am thirsty.

Iced Golden Ginger Drink
Ingredients
- 10.5 ounces coconut water (1 can)
- 2 tablespoons Torani pineapple syrup
- 1 teaspoon half and half or heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
Instructions
- Stir together and serve over ice.
