I decided to make a version of a hot dog I came across reading Wikipedia. Apparently in Chicago it is a thing to serve a tamale on a hot dog bun with toppings.
I decided to try it and found it to be pretty good. The article mentioned it may have had its start in Mexico as one of the torta sandwiches served on bolillo. Here it is every bit a chili pill.

Looks delicious!
A tamale in a bun! That is totally new to me. Sounds tasty!
This had to be the most interesting and tasty recipe for a hotdog I have eaten in years loved the flavor and I would give it 10 stars if I could only find a rating button on your site.
Check the recipe card. There should be some there at the top. I have been having issues with Jetpack interfering with the rating in the comments box.
What an interesting concept. I’ll have to try it.
Interesting variation of street food. Wonder why it is called mother in law sandwich.
I never did find out. It is a funny name, isn’t it?
