South Carolina Bird Dogs

The South Carolina Bird Dog is something I discovered not too long ago. I consists of a crunchy chicken tender on a bun with bacon, cheese and honey mustard. Apparently it is a thing in S.C.

Always one to try something new, and having the ings on hand, I went for it. I didn’t leave you a strips recipe, although I have one on the blog which you can find below.

I used some from take-out, grabbing those on the way home from the market, when I didn’t feel like cooking. You can also bake up frozen ones (although I’d rather buy fresh).

I think  this is a great idea for a cookout when there are hot dog haters around. I mean, everyone loves chicken, right?
