I decided to share my take on soft tacos meeting the American South.
Doesn’t everyone love tacos? We certainly do in our household! Crunchy, soft or street style, all are welcome here. Southern fried chicken is obviously quite popular too. And rightly so, with it’s crispy coating and savory flavor.
Well, I was looking to do something a little different with chicken tacos. So I combined the two dishes, swapping out the usual grilled chicken breast meat for some fried boneless breast pieces. From there it becomes a matter of what toppings you like.
We opted for tomato, cheese, a little diced onion, fresh jalapeno slices and some beautiful, ripe avocado. Whatever you choose to put on them, they’re a delicious change of pace from the usual soft chicken tacos.
