Fried Chicken Hot Shot

The fried chicken hot shot is a variation of some Hot Shot Manhattan sandwiches I have done before. They are perfect comfort food, especially as a small plate supper.

This particular recipe was made with fried chicken breast cut off the bone and piled on soft white bread with mashed and gravy. I used restaurant leftovers in this, as we never manage to finish a “bucket” and rewarmed in the air fryer makes for a quick lunch. But you can also make this with your own fried chicken. Or for a quick twist you can bake up frozen breaded chicken cutlets.

You can also use premade mashed and  gravy or I have some recipes to help you along for mashed potatoes and turkey  gravy (which can also be done as chicken).

But the idea is to not make too much of a production out of it, since it is supposed to be comforting. And that also requires it to be easy in my book.
