Apple Rhubarb Dump Cake is my recipe of the day. This version uses seasonal rhubarb mixed with apple for a change up from the usual rhubarb pie with any other fruit.

What is a Dump Cake?
A dump cake is a simple dessert involving a cake mix with other filling and melted butter to create a dessert similar to a cobbler.
How do I make a Dump Cake?
You place the prepared filling, either homemade or a canned pie filling into a baking dish.
This is covered with alternating amounts of cake mix and melted butter.
Apple Rhubarb Dump Cake
Why does this recipe work?
As the cake bakes, the filling bubbles with the butter, moistening the cake mix. The end result is a cobbler like dessert with a crumb topping. Served with a scoop of ice cream, it is the perfect ending to any meal.
