Amaretto Sour Mocktail

Bill Lau of Potable Pastime has joined me in recreating the drink in this post.

As made with alcohol, it was one of my favorite drinks to have during the 1980’s But for times when I would like to have something without booze, this fits the bill. And Bill has put it together with his knowledge of liqueurs and such. He was very close and was asking my opinion on what he made as the sample.

I immediately thought it needed a little cherry. It goes hand in hand with the drink having stone fruit flavors. So except that you won’t be getting buzzed on this drink, since it is alcohol free? You are unlikely to notice the difference between this and the “real thing”.

So go right ahead and enjoy your Dry January without giving up your enjoyment of Amaretto Sour taste.
