For my recipe I decided to share my vegetarian cheese muffuletta recipe. A traditional muffuletta includes a variety of Italian deli meats in addition to cheese and marinated olive salad. This version obviously omits the meats, opting for two kinds of cheese and additional pickled veggies instead.
I think this makes a perfect lunch to take on a picnic or eat on a deck or patio. Especially if you’re having some of this delicious early autumn weather like we’ve had this past week in southern Ohio!

A great vegetarian version of this classic sandwich.
I love all the different cold cuts in a Muffuletta, but this looks amazing. I probably wouldn’t miss the meat at all with all the flavors. Thanks for joining in the event this week.
I am thinking we would love this. All those fresh flavors! Thank you for the recipe, I cannot wait to give it a go.
The olive salad is what really makes a muffuletta so this is just perfect for a vegetarian version! Love it!
That’s perfect for a picnic! I love that it’s fresh mozzarella with all of those veggies. The bread sounds perfect too.
